Rashim elected DRU Information and Technology Secretary
Syed Shukur Ali Shuvo (582 votes) and Mohiuddin (607) won the post of general secretary of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU). A total of 794 votes, Daily Manabzamin's senior reporter. Rashim (Rashim Mollah) has been elected Information and Technology Secretary.
Chief Election Commissioner Monjurul Ahsan Bulbul announced winners after the day-long election on Thursday (November 30). He said that out of a total of 1731 voters, 1404 votes were cast.
According to the results, the other winners are - Vice President Shafiqul Islam Shamim, Joint Secretary Md. Mizanur Rahman (Mizan Rahman), finance secretary. Zakir Hussain, Organizing Secretary Khalid Saifullah, Office Secretary Rafiq Rafi, Women Affairs Secretary Mahmuda Dolly, Publicity and Publication Secretary Sushant Kumar Saha, Sports Secretary Md. Mahbubur Rahman, cultural secretary (unopposed). Manowar Hossain, Entertainment Secretary Mohammad Chalim Ullah (Mezbah), Welfare Secretary Md. Tanveer Ahmed (Tanveer Ahmed).
Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) is the largest organization of professional journalists in Bangladesh. Reporters working in daily newspapers, electronic media, news agencies and online media published from the capital Dhaka are members of this organization.
